Artist's Statement
I seek to create an atmosphere or mood rather than a reality. In the 1960s, I studied with art greats of the time. It was an era of abstract impressionism and experimentation. I followed this most wonderful time with a career as an art teacher, inspiring the next generations of talent. Upon retiring, I returned to my art with a vastly different aim and desire.
My goal is to create a feeling of peace and calm. The use of oil paint is always evolving and a constant wealth of discovery.
